Hello to anyone who read my post. I am 35 year old single mother of  two girls ages 18 and 14. I lost everything due to hurricaineKatrina and because of a injury I had before Katrina I have not been able to work. My oldest daugther has just started college  because of  a delay in her Federal Aid I have been paying for some of her books and transportation. I do not have a lot of money because  I am on disability.Once I pay my rent there is barely enough for food and other bills.I know some people think  after two years we would be on our feet.But after losing 17 years of your life it not easy.And after not getting anything from the government it is really hard.I have been trying to do  a lot on my own but with my health being the way it is it has not been especialy with nerve damage and tremors in one arm.You just don't know how hard it is to have to ask someone for help when you have been doing it so long by yourself. I was doing okay when I was getting child support  but the father has stopped.I applied for food stamps and was told that they still consider child support for six months as a part of my income. So all get is 76 dollars.I am asking for  help from anyone who is able to give. If no one is able I am thankful someone is able to listen and again thanks for taking the time to listen.

I have tried getting food stamps but due to the fact that there father is only a couple of months behind it is still counted aas a part of my income so all I get is 76 dollars.The father has to be at leaaast 6 months behind as far a financial aid i have been there so many time and they are tellling me there is a process and they are backed up.If I was able to go to work I would not be in the bond i am in.I have nerve damage to my spine and I am awaiting surgery.
